Our Volunteers

400+

Collectively dedicated time and talent to help our students

7

Weeks of actual weekend classroom education and training

100

Volunteer hours from students that have graduated from our program

We have a diverse group of volunteers who have collectively dedicated more than 400 hours of their time and talents over the course of the 7 weeks to help our students in their quest to Thrive – this only includes actual weekend classroom hours (i.e. not administrative time).  Our volunteers are professionals in Corporate America, college students, social workers, PhD candidates working with youth, entrepreneurs, coaches and leaders in the community.  More importantly, nearly 100 of these volunteer hours are from students that have graduated from our program and have returned to assist in the classrooms or with various projects related to student engagement, further reinforcing the benefits of the program by their desire to pay it forward.

about

We ARE developing leaders that transform communities

Generally speaking, our goal at Thrive is to move the needle such that more students are Thriving (verb - grow or develop well or vigorously). Each semester we get a “before and after “picture of how our students perceive things are going in their lives by having them complete the Developmental Assets Profile (DAP) survey.
